Celebration with a zest planned Saturday in Mineola

The Mineola Main Street Farmers’ Market, which began last month and is taking place every Saturday morning, is hosting a Cinco de Mayo celebration on Saturday.
The festivities will be held at the pavilion, next to the train station.
The vendors and organizers of the farmers’ market are planning the event as a celebration of Mexican heritage and pride, and to commemorate the cause of freedom and democracy.
