Cell phones: How young is too young?
Tyler, Texas — It turns out some cell phone users haven't even learned how to talk on them yet.
A new study from E-Marketer shows many cell phone owners are as young as the age of two. This research showed that twenty-five percent of children ages two and under, own a cell phone.
The phone of choice for nearly half of these children? A smartphone.
These toddlers aren't using these mobile phones for text messaging. There are hundreds of applications to teach toddlers everything from the alphabet, to spelling. Making flashcards and spelling charts, a thing of the past for many kids.
