According to the Pittsburg Fire Department, two structures were lost as a result of a Monday afternoon fire at Texas Egg Farm in Camp County.

The farm is located on County Road 1120 a few miles southeast of Pittsburg.

According to Pittsburg Fire Chief Carl Carvey, crews responded to a report of a structure fire around 2:40 p.m., after a cutting torch sparked a grass fire at the farm and burned down two chicken houses.

Officials originally reported the fire was at Strube Egg Farm, which had been owned by Pilgrim's Pride in 2012, according to USDA documents.
