September is Leukemia Awareness Month and Childhood Cancer Awareness month.

One East Texas mom is helping spread the word after her daughter fought and won a battle with Leukemia.

Laney Webb just started Kindergarten at Vista Academy in Tyler.

She received her last treatment of chemotherapy Sept. 2.

The school is participating in the "Change for Children's" program for Children's Medical Center in Dallas, where Laney was treated.

All money raised at school this month will go toward the oncology department there.
