KILGORE — The World’s Richest Acre was gushing chili Thursday as the East Texas Oilman’s Chili Cookoff drew potentially record attendance to benefit a local heath care facility.

“Are you ready for this chili?” Dana Daniel asked as she lined the Halliburton drill bits table with short cups of the meaty concoction. “We had third place last year, and the year before.”
