New York (KETK) — The slugger from Longview got a hit in the All-Star Game.
Chris Davis lined a base hit to right field in the top of the fourth.
It led to the first run of the game.
The American League beat the National League Tuesday night, 3-0.
Davis finished the night 1-for-3.
The East Texan was the cleanup hitter for the American League.
Davis was the top vote-getter of the All-Star Game.
Nelson Cruz of the Rangers walked in his only at-bat.
Yu Darvish did not pitch.
Joe Nathan closed it out by pitching the bottom of the ninth.
With the victory, the American League will have home field advantage in the World Series this fall.
