Longview, TX — About $1,000 worth of donated Christmas toys and decorations were stolen from the Longview Police Department’s Blue Santa program, according to Police Area Representative Misty Ryan.

The theft occurred between 6 and 7:30 p.m., Nov. 22, at Green Street Warehouse, a storage facility in the 2100 block of Green Street, according to a police report.

Crimes Against Property Sgt. David Hazel said the theft remains under investigation.

“The difficulty with these cases is that someone will find there’s broken into, and in the course of that investigation, we discover other (bins that were burglarized),” Hazel said.
