Christmas in August; East Texas stores set stage for Santa

TYLER — Some East Texas stores aren't waiting until the fall to start selling Christmas items. Cracker Barrel in Tyler, began stocking their shelves full of holiday cheer, the second week in July. The store's manager tells KETK the reason is two fold, to be more conveniant for customers, who want to get some of their holiday shopping done early, and for those, who can only afford to spend a little at a time, because of tough economic times. Also, this proves to be a great source of sales revenue for stores which operate year round, compared to those that are just seasonal.
