Update: Eight injured in Overton Christmas Parade

OVERTON — According to fire officials, an accident at the Annual Chamber of Commerce Christmas parade has injured at least eight people, some of them children.
According to witnesses, an older man plowed through a crowd of kids and adults getting ready for the parade. Early reports indicate many of these kids are boy scouts.
Mother Frances Hospital spokesman John Moore says five boys, ranging in ages 7 through 11 have been taken to the hospital. The 8-, 9-, and 11-year-old boys were treated and released from the hospital. Two 7-year-old boys remain in the hospital, one is in serious condition. Two women were also injured, they were released from the hospital.
One of those injured in the accident was helicoptered to a hospital in Dallas. There is no word yet on his or her condition.
