TYLER — Halloween is not quite over and done with yet, but that definitely doesn't stop retailers from thinking about the Christmas season already.
With many of the big box retailers like Walmart celebrating the return of 'layaway' this year, today KETK spoke with Levines in Tyler who has never gotten rid of their layaway.
Ralph Mason who has been there for 35 years said last week their sales were up 25 to 30% and they're hoping this Christmas season will be even better than last year.
KETK also spoke with Sweet Gourmet in Tyler -- they're already hiring seasonal employees.
"We try to hire some after school kids, just some part time moms that want something else to do...because we definitely need it. We have to have delivery people and we have to have stockers to come in and work a late shift so we can get ready for the next day," said Pam Gabriel with Sweet Gourmet.
Of course, KETK will be there with you every step of the way through the holiday shopping season. Stay with us.
