Shortly after 7:00 p.m. on 12-16-09, the Tyler Police Department received a call concerning a robbery that had just occurred at 2720 S. Broadway. Officers arrived quickly and contacted several victims inside one apartment in the complex.

The victims reported three black males suspects entered the apartment after knocking on the door. Two of the suspects were armed with weapons while the third started ransacking the apartment and gathering electronic items such as game consoles, computer equipment and televisions. The two armed suspects held the occupants of the apartment at gun point while the third suspect gathered the items.

A girlfriend of one of the victims arrived at the apartment while the suspects were inside and was also held at gunpoint.

The suspects were described as three black males between the ages of 16 and 24. One suspect had a ski mask covering his face and another one had a black beanie cap on.

The suspects gathered several electronic items, including a big screen television, and left the apartment. It is unknown if the suspects left the scene on foot or had a vehicle waiting on them. One of the victims received minor injuries during the incident, but refused medical attention. Investigators and crime scene officers were called to the scene to begin processing the scene for evidence. Investigators interviewed each victim who was present in the apartment and also canvassed the apartment complex.

Investigators are asking for public assistance in solving this case. If anyone saw three black males inside the apartment complex around the time of this incident, they are asked to call the Tyler Police Department or CrimeStoppers. The suspects may have been seen leaving the area carrying the stolen items and officers are hoping someone saw this suspicious activity and will call in with that information.
