The City of Jacksonville's Director of Public Works Will Cole is getting ready to sell.

The City finalized its budget.

And now, they're having their annual public auction.

Cole says, "Every October, we have a new budget that incurs new purchases and stuff that needs to be replaced."

That includes everything from old water meters, to john deere tractors, even several police cars and a garbage truck.

Small appliances, old computers and Christmas decorations are also up for bid.

There's even a Lexus.

Cole tells KETK, they never know how much an item will sell for.

And he says, that's what makes it fun.

He says, "Things you don't think will sell very well. And usually, it has a lot of competition and it goes for more than you would expect."

All the money raised from this year's online auction,  filters right back to the city.

Bidding starts Wednesday, December 12th at 11 AM.

The auction is online only.

If there's something you're interesting in looking at in person before the auction, you can call the city.

They tell KETK, they will make arrangements with you.
