City offices will observe the following holiday schedule on Wednesday, July 4 for Independence Day.

Holiday Garbage Collection
The City of Tyler Solid Waste Department will be closed Wednesday, July 4, for Independence Day. No residential garbage will be picked up on this day. The complete holiday week residential garbage collection schedule is listed below.

Holiday Week Schedule:

Monday, July 2 Normal collection
Tuesday, July 3 Normal collection
Wednesday, July 4 No Collection
Thursday, July 5 Normal collection and Curbside Recycling
Friday, July 6 Normal collection

During the holiday week, priority will be given to household waste. Crews will collect as much curb trash and yard waste as time allows. Curbside recycling normally picked up on the first Wednesday of the month will be picked up on Thursday, July 5 instead.

Tyler Pounds Regional Airport
Tyler Pounds Regional Airport will be open through the holiday. The airport administrative offices will be closed on Wednesday, July 4. Customers should contact their airline or check the airport website at www.TylerAirport.com for special holiday travel schedules.

Tyler Public Library

The Tyler Public Library will be closed on Wednesday, July 4. The Library will resume normal hours on Thursday, July 5.

Tyler Transit Schedule

There will be no fixed-route or paratransit service on Wednesday, July 4. Service will resume on Thursday, July 5.
Tyler Municipal Court
Tyler Municipal Court will be closed on Wednesday, July 4. The Court will resume normal hours on Thursday, July 5.
Gallery Main Street
Gallery Main Street will be closed on Wednesday, July 4. The Gallery will resume normal hours on Thursday, July 5.
Tyler Parks and Recreation
The Tyler Parks and Recreation administrative offices, the Senior Citizens Center and the Glass Recreation Center will be closed on Wednesday, July 4.

The 1859 Goodman-LeGrand House and Museum will be closed on Wednesday, July 4.

The Rose Garden Center will be closed on Wednesday, July 4. The Rose Garden is open from dawn to dusk seven days a week and will remain open throughout the holiday.

Both Fun Forest and Woldert Pools will be OPEN from 1-6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 4.

Tyler Water Utilities

The TWU Business Office will be closed on Wednesday, July 4. Anyone wishing to make a payment can place it in one of the two available drop boxes. There is one box located in front of the office at 511 Locust Street and a drive-up box in the Brookshire's parking lot on the corner of South Broadway Avenue and Rice Road. The payment will be credited on the next business day. Please do not drop cash into these boxes.
