Simmering disagreements in Coffee City have erupted into shouting and charges of corruption in city government.
Mayor Tony Moore is under fire…
And it’s coming from a group called the Concerned Citizens of Coffee City.
Formed at a meeting in 2010…back then they were worried about a property tax.
Now, the causes are many…
Pam Drost is a Coffee City Alderman, and her concern is transparency and fiscal responsibility.
Lauren Savage edits two websites for the group, one a spoof and the other full of venom and some would say, racist parodies of the mayor.
Savage is also vice-President of the Texas Nationalist Movement who contend Texas is still a Republic and out statehood was illegal.
He angry about what he terms illegal annexations.
And the arguments show no sign of ending anytime soon.

The real story here is where is the money? Coffee City is bankrupt and not helping its citizens. No one without a fiscal agenda who actually cares about the city has a say and is brutally verbally attacked or completely ignored when topics such as police reports and budgets are requested. Open records cannot be obtained in a timely manner and the city goes out of its way to host secret meetings not even privy to ALL Alderman. Follow the money to find corruption, it is about lakefront property!

It is not "racist parody" to parody the Mayors speech and mannerisms accurately. Here is a quote from right here on KETK in the story "Coffee City Chaos - Pt. 2"
"Why would I touch him on the nose when I could have well...if I would have got assault charges...if I would have did the assault, I would have did it right," Moore said
