A journalism professor from the University of Kansas was placed on administrative leave, Friday morning, after he tweeted out an offensive comment concerning the children of NRA members.

Chancellor Bernadette Gray-Little announced the decision by the university after David Guth tweeted out the following:

"In order to prevent disruptions to the learning environment for students, the School of Journalism and the university, I have directed Provost Jeffrey Vitter to place Associate Professor Guth on indefinite administrative leave pending a review of the entire situation. Professor Guth’s classes will be taught by other faculty members," said Gray-Little.

When Guth was asked if he felt remorse for the Twitter rant, he said he wouldn't take it back, not one bit,

The University also expressed their views on free speech and the comment made by Guth:

"While the First Amendment allows anyone to express an opinion, that privilege is not absolute and must be balanced with the rights of others. That’s vital to civil discourse," said Ann Brill, Dean of the William Allen White School of Journalism and Mass Communications. "Professor Guth’s views do not represent our school and we do not advocate violence directed against any group or individuals."

Just what kind of hateful idiots do we have teaching our kids and in office these days? Kinda like racism, parents like Trayvon Martins teach it to their kids and people like Guth teaching it in college. No wonder this country has gone crazy.

That's called Liberal compassion. There is no sense in all this damnation coming from these people. It just shows a lack of moral feelings on their part.. I am not only talking of this professor but also Allen Brauer wishing Amanda Carpender's children would die from a debilitating disease. How these people made it to a place authority, I'll never know. I truly hope they lose their place of authority That professor surely does not need to be instructing our future leaders of this country.
