COMING TONIGHT: Counterfeit $100 bills in Henderson

HENDERSON — Lt. Craig Sweeney with the Henderson Police department has confirmed that counterfeit $100 bills have been floating around Henderson.
Sweeney says since March 8th of this year, the Police Dept. along with the U.S. Secret Service have recovered around $9,500-$10,000 in counterfeit $100 bills.
They became aware of the problem when a local bank told them a customer had brought in proceeds from a cashed tax refund check and a number of the bills were shown to be counterfeit.
KETK will have more on this story tonight at 10.
