COMING TONIGHT: East Texan's emotional story headed to big screen

BEN WHEELER - It took John Borgstedt years to write his first book - the heart-wrenching story of child abuse that he experienced himself growing up in Houston.
Today, crews from Heartstone pictures were at Borgstedt's house in Ben Wheeler to work on a documentary of his life.
The book is called 'I Love You Mom, Please Don't Break My Heart."
When a producer with Heartstone pictures read the book, they decided to first produce a documentary based on Borgstedt's life, and when the documentary is complete, Borgstedt says they will begin work on a feature film.
"The book is basically about a little boy who was abused, not just by his mother, but his father. My mother's also tried to kill me several times - not just by sedation, but also strangulation, and many other methods of cruelty as well that's probably unimaginable to the human mind," Borgstedt said.
Coming up tonight, you'll hear more from Borgstedt, as well as from Sondra Martin Hicks, the director and producer of the documentary.
