Commissioner from Van Zandt County arrested

VAN ZANDT COUNTY — From Van Zandt County:
Ricky LaPrade Commisioner Pct.1 Van Zandt County was arrested at approximately 2am this morning by K-9 Officer H. Burton.
LaPrade was charged with Driving While Intoxicated 1st, Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon (loaded pistol), Resisting Arrest, and was issued a citation to report to the Canton Municipal Judge for Open Container. The bond amounts were $3000.00 for the DWI, $3000.00, Resisting Arrest, $4000.00 for the Unlawful Carrying of Weapon.
This came after LaPrade was found in a county issued vehicle in the public parking area of Whataburger located at the N. Service RD of I-20 and SH 19 in the City of Canton.
LaPrade has been released after posting bond.

Van Zandt County Precinct One Commissioner, Ricky La Prade was arrested early Thursday morning for DWI, unlawful carry of a loaded weapon, and resisting arrest.
Van Zandt County officials tell KETK, LaPrade was taken into custody by a K-9 officer in the parking lot of a Whataburger restaurant.
