Comptroller report: "The Obesity Crisis in Texas"

AUSTIN - Children in Texas are some of the most obese in the nation, according to a report released by the Texas Comptroller this month.

The report, titled "Gaining Costs, Losing Time: The Obesity Crisis in Texas," cites a 2007 National Survey of Children's Health study that found 20.7 percent of Texans ages 10–17 were obese, compared to 16.4 percent for all U.S. children.
