Congressman Gohmert talks health care with students

November 10, 2009 - 9:46am

LONGVIEW—Congressman Louie Gohmert takes the health care debate to Longview.

Following his vote against government-run health care, Congressman Gohmert spoke with students in Longview regarding the health care bill that passed the House Saturday night.

"The fact that we put up very good reasons as to why this a very bad idea is an indication that by the time the Senate gets ready to take it up, they're going to be able to take a look at these reasons," said the Republican Representative from East Texas.

Congressman Gohmert told students that taxpayers need to express their disdain for the bill to their senators and representatives.

I agree with 'twd'. Why is this nay-sayer allowed to promote his political views amongst our students. He needs to get out of government NOW.

why is it that Gohmert is allowed to go in the schools and talk with students about political issues?
sounds like a double standard, God forbid Obama wants to talk to the students about staying in school (something non-political)
that would be insane!!!
