Congressmen say one border drone insufficient

Corpus Christi, TX — Three congressmen say one unmanned aircraft based in Corpus Christi is insufficient to patrol the 1,200-mile border between Texas and Mexico.
U.S. Reps. Michael McCaul and Blake Farenthold, R-Texas, and Henry Cuellar, D-Texas, made the comments after meeting with state and federal officials at Naval Air Station Corpus Christi.
According to the Corpus Christi Caller-Times, Farenthold, of Corpus Christi, said Texas leads the list of possible recipients of more aerial drones by the end of the year.
The lone Predator drone assigned to the Texas-Mexico border has operated out of Corpus Christi since February.
