Conroe, TX (KETK) — Liberty County Sheriff's Office responded to a home robbery Friday night on FM 787.
Sheriff's Deputy Steve Rasberry said that he was en route to a call around 10:00 p.m. and was stopped at a stop sigh when a man ran up to his patrol car yelling for help and that his mother had just been beaten and robbed at her home.
Deputy Rasberry went to the residence on FM 787 where he found Theresa Graff at the front of her home bleeding from head injuries. Liberty County EMS responded to the scene and took Ms. Graff to a local hospital where she was thought to be in "stable" condition.
Deputy Rasberry said that Ms. Graff had been at her business in the city of Cleveland, Texas, and had just gotten home when two unknown people broke in through the back door. Both burglars were armed with hand guns and a taser and were dressed in black.
The burglars demanded money from Ms. Graff and started to beat, choke, and tase her several times when she attempted to resist.
Graff described her attackers as white males that were "tall, strong, and vulgar". After several moments the burglars took a money bag and left the home on foot.
Sgt. Investigator Brian Bortz is working the investigation and is asking the public for any information involved in the burglary.
