Cops and Cuffs: June 7, 2009

COPS & CUFFS - Fifty-six year-old Michael Jay Bays from Longview was released Saturday on $225,000 bond after being charged with continuous sexual abuse of a child younger than 14, aggravated assault of a child, and indecent exposure.

Bays was arrested on Friday night at the Gregg County Courthouse.

Several tires were slashed on multiple vehicles on Paul Street and Freeman Street, according to the Lufkin Police Department.

Two juveniles were seen slashing those tires and they were identified.

The total damage done was about $1,000 worth.

Nacogdoches Police report several car burglaries happened in a South Nacogdoches neighborhood on Thursday.

There were two burglaries on Robert Street.

Burglaries were also reported on Burke and Margaret Streets.

Police believe all burglaries were done by the same person.
