Hidden behind the trees off Paluxy drive in Tyler is the "Corporate Green" office park.

Corporate Green seeks to create high tech, creative work environments and facilities that have an emphasis on energy reduction.

With one building finished and several more on the way, office space is filling up fast.

"Progressive Insurance" along with the transportation company "Lochner" will soon be the first to move into the new shells.

Corporate green is the brainchild of Phil Burks who is also the president of Genesis software company and a board member of "Tyler4Tech".

"We choose to be in Tyler. We choose to be here because it's a smart place to do business." says Burks.

He hopes this will create a movement toward higher tech workplaces for East Texas.

Corporate Green currently owns 30 acres on which they can build in order to meet demand as it is needed.

When all the buildings are finished, there could be room for up to 30 businesses.
