Could food stamps cutbacks threaten local food banks and pantrys

TYLER, TX (KETK) - — A House bill that cuts money from the food stamp program is stalled in congress, and 16-billion dollars is on the table.
It's an attempt to cut spending across the board, trying to lower the nation's debt.
But food bank and pantry leaders tell KETK it may cost the country more if they make dramatic cuts to the SNAP program.
