Amarillo police have received more than 40 reports of counterfeit money being circulated since October.
Police say the bogus currency involves denominations of $5, $10, $20 and $50.

Sgt. Brent Barbee says a number of businesses received the fake cash. The bills have a variety of serial numbers.

No one has been arrested.

Details of the counterfeit currency investigation were first announced last week by police, with at least 44 reports of fake cash.
