Counties monitor weather for potential burn bans

East Texas — Several East Texas counties may soon consider implementing burn bans, unless Mother Nature convinces county officials otherwise.
After five consecutive days of triple-digit weather, a heat advisory, and 10 days of no measurable rainfall, county officials across the region are monitoring weather conditions in order to decide whether there’s a need to ban outdoor burning.
