Country singer Randy Travis arrested on multiple charges

Grayson County, Tx — Country singer Randy Travis was arrested in Grayson County early Wednesday following a wreck in Tioga.
According to jail records, Travis was booked into the Grayson County Jail just before 4:30 Wednesday morning on charges of DUI as well as Retaliation.
Travis was involved in a one vehicle accident at around 11:15 Tuesday night.
Travis allegedly was naked, had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath and several signs of intoxication. Travis refused a blood and breath test; a search warrant was granted by a judge for a blood specimen, which was taken at a local hospital.
The retaliation charge stems from Travis making threats to shoot and kill the troopers during his ride to jail.
Brown says the case will probably end up in front of a grand jury and a hearing could be set in a couple of weeks.
His bond was set at $21,500.
Travis was also arrested for public intoxication back in February.

Let's cut Randy a little slack here! No, I don't mean just slap him on the hand; but now is not the time to slaughter him. I can name you many entertainers that suffered from depression, alcoholism, or chemical dependancy...Hank, George,...did you crucify them? Right now, Randy is ill. As the a child, grandchild, sibling, friend, & family to many victims of chemical dependancy and depression, I can see he needs prayers for help, more than criticism! "There but for the grace of GOD, go I!"
For someone who has had such a stellar career that has spanned decades, this is a sad, and somewhat disgusting way for it all to end...lest anyone jump on this statement, it is doubly sad that Randy has not committed to battling alcoholism through an in-patient treatment program for however long it takes to get sober...this downward spiral that has effectively ended his outstanding performance history will, in the end, kill him if he doesn't do something about it now.
