Cowboys host winless Rams
Here's a potential remedy for a Dallas Cowboys ground game that's been stuck in neutral - a date with the defense that's been run over more than any other in the NFL this season.
The St. Louis Rams are allowing 163 yards per game, several first downs more than anyone else in the league. Break it down per carry and their average of 4.9 yards allowed is almost at the bottom.
The Cowboys can't get too excited. Dallas is averaging just 84.8 yards rushing per game with only a single rushing touchdown.
The leading gainer, Felix Jones, is almost certainly out because of a high ankle sprain, meaning rookie DeMarco Murray will make his first start. Likely blocking for him at left guard will be Montrae Holland, a veteran the Cowboys dumped in training camp and re-signed this week because of injuries.
