Saturday Sports Updates with Tamara Jolee (Cowboys, Rangers and a Lufkin-native makes his MLB debut)!
Cowboys rookie Stephen Hodge (first hand account of Cowboys' indoor practice facility collapsing..."
Interview with KETK-TV sports reporter Tamara Jolee via telephone:
Q: Stephen, how would you describe what happened today?
It was chaotic. There's no other word to describe it. It was very scary. Everybody started running to safety and then people started tripping over each other. The building started collapsing and people on the sidelines tried to get out, but others started falling on top of them along with the debris. People were ducking. After we got a grasp of what was going on, we turned around and started helping each other to pull one another out of the rumble.
Q: Right before the incident, what happened?
A: It was a normal practice, it was loud outside, but it seemed like a typical thunderstorm. We weren't paying attention to the it (the storm) until one of the sides, made a loud sound and then almost started falling down. It like ripped. It made a loud ripping sound and then just boom and we all started running.
