CPS takes baby after mom's arrest at strip club
Joins three other siblings in foster care
Houston — The Houston Chronicle is reporting; Child Protective Services has taken custody of a newborn baby after the boy's mother was arrested on a probation violation at a Houston strip club where she had applied for a job, a Galveston County constable said.
Micah Alford, 26, was being held on $100,000 bail after being accused of violating her probation on a child endangerment case relating to another of her four children, said Galveston County Precinct 8 Constable Jerry Fisher. All of Alford's children are now in the custody of CPS, Fisher said.
Alford was arrested on Tuesday night, five days after giving birth to her son. The same day, two women who had been caring for the infant handed the baby over to investigators at a Houston store parking lot after they learned authorities were searching for the child and mother.
