BURKE - The Lufkin Daily News reports a 29 year-old Lufkin mother and a 48 year-old Alto rail yard worker are among those who died from injuries in a collision in Burke Friday night.

Crystal Thomas and Willie Lacy died at the scene just after midnight after a truck slammed into a car on Highway 59 north.

The pickup driver and two children have serious injuries.

A D.P.S. report says the pickup driver was going the Southbound in the Northbound lane.
