UPDATE [4:35] Texas A7M Forest Service officials tell KETK the fire has been contained.

Service officials originally reported nearly 100 acres had been burned, but that number has dropped to around 86 acres.

They believe the first started from a lightning strike from yesterday's storms.

No structures were damaged, and no injuries were reported.

They will monitor the scene to ensure the fire doesn't rekindle.

UPDATE [1:55 p.m.] Texas A&M Forest Service officials tell KETK the fire has spread to around 100 acres.

The fire is 85% contained, and is expected to be fully put out by early Sunday evening.

No structures are in danger, and no injuries have been reported.

ORIGINAL- Multiple fire crews are on the scene of a large forest fire near Nacogdoches.

Texas A&M Forest Service officials tell KETK they are on scene of a 25 acre forest fire at FM 226 and CR 422.

At this time, the fire is 30% contained and is expected to be fully extinguished by late Sunday afternoon.

The fire is believed to have been sparked by Saturday's strong storms.

No structures are in danger, and no injuries have been reported.
