Lightning strike may be the cause

NACOGDOCHES — Volunteer Firemen and officers responded to an oil tanker that caught fire south of Martinsville a short while ago.

The fire has been extinguished. The cause hasn't been formally declared but was possibly attributed to a lightning strike.

No evacuations were necessary and residents living in that area have no need for alarm at this time.
