2 arrested in ETX after routine traffic stop reveals 565 grams of meth, 5 cellphones, $1,100

Smith County, Texas (KETK) — Smith County Precinct Five Constable, Kenneth Bibby, tells KETK a major drug bust took place in the Lindale area on the night of August 6th.
Two women from Dallas were arrested after a routine traffic stop revealed the women had a large amount of methamphetamine in their car.
Around 11;30 p.m., Deputy Constable Hawley conducted a vehicle search at the intersection of Farm-to-Market Road 849 and I-20 after he witnessd suspicious behavior coming from two women he had stopped for a traffic violations.
Hawley discovered 565 grams of methamphetamine in the car along with five cellphones and $1,100. Reports state the suspects may have been on their way to make a drug delivery.
The identify of the females is not being released at this time as the investigation is on-going.
Bond has been set, but the amount is not being publicized, according to Constable Bibby.
