The Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office arrested two men and seized a methamphetamine lab and methamphetamine from a house in Nacogdoches.

According to Sheriff Jason Bridges, on Wednesday, around 5:00 p.m., Johnny Watson, 47, and Joseph Ogdee, 54, both of Nacogdoches, were arrested at the scene when his office executed a search warrant on a house in the 2900 block of Press Road after deputies gained information of narcotics being distributed.

Bridges said Watson and Ogdee were found inside the home along with a large meth lab and narcotics scattered throughout the house.

Deputies found several pounds of ammonia fertilizer, chemicals containing muriatic acid, acetone, drain cleaner, starter fluid, and other common cooking components used in the production of meth.

Authorities seized two different labs at the residence. The men were using the "shake and bake" method, which is commonly used in plastic bottles and produces about a gram of meth at a time.

Deputies also found a lab in which the suspects were making a large amount of crystal meth and using a method that is often used by drug cartels in Mexico.

There was an estimated seizure of over 50 grams of crystal meth along with five more grams from a separate lab.

Sheriff Bridges said they have identified a woman who was also living at the house with a child, but was not there at the time the search warrant was executed.

Investigators are still investigating the involvement of other individuals and more additional warrants may be issued.  The street value of the meth that was recovered is valued at over $5,000.

Watson and Ogdee were charged with possession of controlled substance and possession of certain chemicals with intent to distribute Watson was also charged with a prohibited weapon. Both men were taken to the Nacogdoches County Jail.
