2 ETX women arrested on drug charges

Nacogdoches, Texas (KETK) — Two Nacogdoches women were arrested Wednesday evening on multiple drug charges at a residence on CR 915.
Evelyn Ward, 56, and Judy Suarez, 56, were both arrested on drug charges.
Sheriff Jason Bridges stated that an ongoing drug investigation has lead to the seizure of nearly two grams of methamphetamine, marijuana, numerous pills and a handgun along with other drug paraphernalia.
The sheriff's office obtained information that drug activity was occurring at a home on CR 915.
An investigation was conducted by the sheriff office that targeted a female living at the residence. Deputies arrived at the residence around 7:00 p.m., and spoke with two subjects who were at the residence. Deputies obtained consent to search the residence from the owner.
During the search, Deputies found methamphetamine inside the residence and inside a purse where a loaded handgun was also concealed. Also found inside the residence was numerous prescription pills that did not belong to either female and were mixed together in several different bottles.
Both women were charged with Possession of a controlled substance, a state jail felony, Possession of a dangerous drug, class A misdemeanor, and possession of marijuana, Class B Misdemeanor.
Suarez was also charged with unlawfully carrying of a weapon by a concealed handgun carrier, Class A misdemeanor and three counts of Possession of a controlled substance a class A misdemeanor.
Both were booked into the Nacogdoches County Jail.
