3 arrested on felony marijuana charges in Nacogdoches after routine traffic stop
Nacogdoches, Texas (KETK) — The Nacogdoches Police Department have arrested three suspects on felony marijuana charges following a traffic stop on Loop 224 Friday afternoon.
Luis Torres, Jr., 19, of Smyrna, Georgia, Pedro Santiesteban, 25, of South Bend, Indiana, and Christina Garza, 18 of Houston, have been charged with felony possession of marijuana.
Torres was driving a car northbound in the 400 block of Northwest Loop 224 and was stopped for a traffic violation. Officers searched the vehicle and located approximately 20 pounds of marijuana in the trunk. A handgun was also recovered in the vehicle.
They have been placed in the Nacogdoches County Jail pending arraignment.
