3rd victim identified in ETX gang-related shooting

Lufkin, Texas (KETK) —
The third victim in a shooting that occurred Wednesday morning has been identified.
In regards to the shooting that occurred on April 9, 2014, detectives of the Lufkin Police Department believe that they have identified the third victim as 26-year-old Darryl Bedford Jr. of Lufkin.
A total of three people were injured in the crime that occurred near near Winston Park in the 1000 block of Clinton Street.
Authorities were first notified after midnight Wednesday when hospital personnel at Memorial Health Systems reported that three gunshot victims had arrived at the emergency room. Two of the victims, Uric Godet and Trasmin Perkins both of Lufkin, sustained injuries to their leg. Bedford was shot in the back.
Godet and Perkins were treated and released from the hospital. Bedford was taken to Memorial Herman Hospital in Houston by helicopter.
From information gathered by detectives, it appears that the shooting was gang-related.
