6 East Texans arrested for allegedly providing alcohol to minors

Harrison County, Texas (KETK) —
Six East Texans are behind bars after being charged with providing alcohol with minors.
Harrison County Sheriff’s Office received information regarding a large party and loud music on Saturday, January 18, with numerous minors at an address on Rupe Huffman Road, in western Harrison County. Deputies responded to the address at approximately 3:00 a.m., and found approximately 30 car parked on roadways and in the yard area of the residence. Deputies located the person who leases the property and detained approximately 43 individuals at the home. After interviewing, it was determined that 37 of the 43 people at the party were not of the legal drinking age.
The alleged underage drinkers were issued citations for Minor in Possession of alcoholic beverage and 12 of the 37 were issued citations for Minor in Consumption of an alcoholic beverage. The parents of the minors were notified and they were released to their parents. Six others were charged with allegedly purchasing and furnishing alcohol to minors. The six adults were transported to Harrison County and placed in jail for that offense. Bonds of $1500 were placed on each alleged provider and they have been released.
Four of the adults were charged with furnishing alcohol to minors are and two were booked for public intoxication.
