AMBER ALERT DISCONTINUED: Officials find 2 missing TX children safe, father in custody

ATASCOCITA, TEXAS (KETK) — According to KTRK in Houston, an Amber Alert that was issued for two missing Atascocita children who were reportedly taken by their father who allegedly beat the children's mother has been discontinued and the father is in custody.
KTRK reports the children were found, unharmed, at their aunt's house in in the 1700 block of Oak Manor Drive in Huffman.
Authorities told KTRK, the father, Charles Adams has a history of domestic violence, a rap sheet and a deadly weapon.
Adams, was arrested at his parents' home, about four blocks from the original scene of the crime and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
The 32-year-old mother of the children was found beaten and bloodied and taken to Northeast Medical Center with broken ribs and a possibly ruptured ear drum, according to KTRK.
The children were believed to be in grave danger at the time they were taken.
Paramedics were called to the scene of the recovery to check out the children as a precaution.
