Angelina Co. deputy fired after reportedly stealing over $500 from Boy Scouts

Angelina County, Texas (KETK) — An Angelina County Sheriff's Office Deputy has been fired after Texas Rangers arrested him for allegedly stealing more than $500 from Boy Scouts.
According to Sheriff Greg Sanches, Gregory Alan Trammell, 30, of Lufkin, was arrested, Friday, and charged with misappropriation of fiduciary or financial property between $500 and $1,500. He was released from the jail later that day after he posted a $1,500 bail.
Sanches tells KETK officials received word there was money missing from the Boy Scouts account and after an investigation, Trammell was arrested for he crime.
Trammel was released on $1,500 bail and Sanches says he was terminated Monday.
