Authorities release pictures of Longview area bank robber

Authorities are responding to another bank robbery in East Texas Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Longview Police Department, around 3:40 p.m., the East Texas Professional Credit Union on Gilmer Road was robbed. 

Police said a white male entered the business with a gun. He was wearing a gray polo style shirt with insignia on the left hand side. The robber was also wearing a plaid hat and maroon bandana over his face.

After taking an undisclosed amount of money, the bandit escaped around the side of the bank near Crystal Street. He then left the scene in a tan colored four-door SUV.

A nearby daycare was placed on lockdown.

Three people held up an Austin Bank near Longview on Monday, according to the Gregg County Sheriff's Office. A Tyler Austin Bank was also robbed by three men on Tuesday.

A Capital One Bank was robbed in Tyler on Monday by a man dressed in a suit. At this time, It's not known if any of the bank robberies are connected.
