The Palestine Police Department is seeking assistance from the public in identifying two people involved in a Saturday morning burglary

At around 4:45 a.m., the Palestine Police Department was dispatched to Hometown Pharmacy at 101 Medical Drive in regard to a burglary alarm.

Upon arrival, responding officers found a side door pried open. No burglars were found on the premises during a search of the building, however, two men, both appearing to be heavy set, were captured on surveillance video during the crime. One of the men appeared to be carrying a long crow bar.

A full-size gray pickup was spotted driving in the area several times prior to and immediately after the burglary. Around $3,000 in items were taken during the heist.

Although the subjects were wearing hats and gloves, photographs of the subjects are being released in hopes that their features and clothing descriptions may trigger some recognition with the public.
