The autopsy on the death of a man shot by Longview Police was recently returned.

According to the Southwestern Institute of Forensic Sciences in Dallas, Regan Mitchell Wagner, 23, of Longview, died from gunshot wounds to the trunk and left upper extremity.

Wagner was pronounced dead at a local hospital by Precinct 1 Justice of the Peace B. H. Jameson.

The suspect was shot by a Longview officer Thursday afternoon when police attempted to pull over his vehicle at Akin Park and gunfire was exchanged. The officer was not injured.

The officer involved in the shooting has been placed on paid administrative leave for the duration of the investigation being conducted by the Texas Rangers.

Firstly, his name is Regan Marshall Wagner. He never got out of the vehicle. How threatening could he have been to this police officer that shot him through the upper left arm, which was obviously resting on his SUV window(he is left handed by the way), then twice through his upper left back. That's right shot from behind while he was clearly sitting in the vehicle. Your libel defamation against my brother has not gone unnoticed.
