BREAKING: Man involved in standoff with Tyler PD identified, charged with child sexual assault

First on KETK, Tyler Police have confirmed with KETK the man involved in a standoff, Tuesday afternoon, has been arrested.

Authorities were attempting to execute an arrest warrant in the 1000 block of Jeff Davis Drive. The man refused to exit his house and was armed.

The man who was arrested by authorities, was James Carey Prosperie, 73, of Tyler.  Prosperie will be charged with aggravated Sexual assault against child. Prosperie used to be a pharmacist in Tyler at 2119 East Fifth Street in Tyler, which has since been converted into a tattoo parlor.
