Bullard, TExas (KETK) — A Bullard teenager was booked into jail after deputies said she took a Cherokee County tractor for a "joy ride."
Erin Lacy Lee, 17, of Bullard, was taken into custody Monday by the Cherokee County Sheriff's Department following a review of surveillance video at a nearby subdivision. The teen admitted to the crime and stated she took it for "joy riding," according to Captain John R Raffield.
On August 7, 2014, a resident at the Lakewood East subdivision off FM 346 called in to report an abandoned tractor near the back of the property in a wooded area. Authorities had received a report three days earlier of stolen equipment belonging to Cherokee County Precinct 3 Road and Bridge Department. The estimated value was more than $100,000.
Lee was charged with theft great than $100,000. Her bail was set at $25,000.
A 15- and 16-year-old were also interviewed during the investigation.
