California man headed to prison for dealing cocaine in ETX
Tyler, Tx (KETK) — A California man was sentenced to prison time Thursday morning for trafficking cocaine in East Texas.
Reginald Lavann Eastern, 44, of San Bernardino, California, pleaded guilty to the charge of possession with intent to distribute cocaine back on August 30, 2012.
U.S. District Judge Leonard E. Davis ordered him to serve 43 months in a federal prison.
Court documents show Eastern was caught with one kilogram of cocaine on March 4, 2012. Authorities say he planned to deliver the drugs to others in East Texas.
This case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Bill Baldwin.
