Charges added against ETX man accused of sexually assaulting child

Nacogdoches, Texas (KETK) — The Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office has filed four more charges against a Nacogdoches man after he was arrested on Monday.
Deputies first received a complainant of an indecency with a child case after an outcry from the victim, who is 10- to 12-year-s old. Detectives found probable cause arrested Harvey Joe Puntch.
Puntch, 52, was taken into custody on the original charge and taken to the Nacogdoches County Jail. Investigators obtained confessions from Puntch during extensive interviews. Deputies also obtained additional information of more crimes against the victim.
In cooperation with Harolds House, a forensic interview was conducted with the victim. The interview helped investigators learn several more details about the investigation.
On Thursday evening, the sheriff's department obtained four more warrants against Puntch for the offense of aggravated sexual assault with a child. The warrants were served on Puntch at the Nacogdoches County Jail.
Harvey Joe Puntch's bond was set at $75,000 on the original charge of indecency with a child. He has yet to be arraigned on the four additional charges.
