Suspect rented hotel room; 14-year-old victim involved.

The El Paso Police Department's Crimes Against Children unit arrest a man after he allegedly sexually assaults a teen girl in a West El Paso motel room.

According to EPPD officials the incident occurred at the Mesa Inn, along the 4100 block of North Mesa, on September 24, 2013.

Detectives, through their investigation, allege Jorge Luis Villafuerte, 51, rented a room at around 10:20 a.m., and checked out of the room at 3:52 p.m..

Officials say that during that time, investigators believe that Villafuerte had sexual intercourse with a teen girl, inside the room. Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Villafuerte and placed him under arrest.

Villafuerte was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility on the charge of Sexual Assault of a Child early Tuesday morning. His bond was set at $150,000.

Investigators add that they requested a news release on this case due to the fact that Villafuerte was employed by Child Protective Services as a Case Worker when this assault occurred.

Investigators believe that there could be additional victims that have not been identified.
